Frosty Gifts

The holiday party season is upon us! Why not leave the re-gift bottle of wine at home, and show up with an original arrangement you made yourself? After all, there's nothing like a beautiful handmade gift from the heart.

You can get creative with the container - in the past I have used tarnished old silver dishes, a glass vase filled with white sand, large shells, even just a small container with one unique succulent in it gets a great response.  I made this one using a verity of "frosty-looking" succulents to give it that winter feel. Also, I knew these were a great selection of plants that my friend James could later add to his existing Potted Garden.

I purchased all of these supplies at Flora Grubb. They have an awesome variety of plants and pots to choose from.

  1. Josh, these look absolutely dreamy. You have a gift—like so much magnificent design, your work always appears deceptively simple. Yet when one tries to recreate it, the true complexity of it all is revealed! Thank you for sharing your gift with the world!!
