Vertical Garden

My HUGE installation of Woolly Pockets in San Francisco. I found this unconventional way of gardening to be a fun way to use some plants I otherwise wouldn't, or in ways I never had before. In this case, I used a mix of Bromliads, Succulents, Ferns, and a lot of Cymbidium Orchids which thrive in these conditions. I found the key to achieving a full lush look is to use a variety of plants with different growing habits and low water needs. Also leaving no gaps between each pocket... I often see this product installed as if the pockets themselves are on display, and I think that's what turned me off to then initially. In the end, where there was a ugly chain link fence - now there is a breathtaking living wall.
